Business success with YouTube

I am fascinated by the growing list of organizations that successfully use the pipe for a new kind of PR. Heard about the link between Diet Coke and Mentos, the phenomenon Sony Bravia or Will It Blend? mania? Otherwise, look on You Tube, you'll find these companies have received millions of dollars of free publicity for the companies behind them. Well, I say behind them, which usually begins by chance. Someone posts something that is fun to watch, it just happens to have your logo in it and if you're lucky, it spreads.

It 'happened because people believed to have been made for their enjoyment, not for your publicity. And I think this because it's true.

Engaging the public on a new level

This is the challenge for people in business, especially those of us in the communications sector, be they freelance copywriters and marketing consultants, like me, admen, Media Sales managers or consultants pr. And 'to get the marks posted on You Tube approaches really fun, engaging and sincere.

All posting to YouTube is a potential publicity for your brand or business. The problem is, that in a world of increasing cynicism, if the public finds out that the purpose of getting your message across, the message fiasco: Bang. You have been discovered. Doing it right, you're a winner. They are wrong, you might look a bit 'silly, but chances are, will go completely unnoticed. I can not answer the question of what to do for you, there's probably a million or more responses. But if you decide to get your camera out and get your brand on You Tube, do it with integrity, sincerity and quality....
