PPC and the game of Monopoly

The role of Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising has a story worth sharing. In the beginning was relatively inexpensive to get laser focused advertising on a PPC model that not only delivered to potential customers to your site, but may be due to a relatively small amount of capital.

What once could be had for less than a quarter a click now costs at least ten times as much.

Add to this scenario, a significant amount of click fraud (one case in which people deliberately click on PPC ads to drain the budget for a competing business) and you have a scenario where there are always methods that are actually working for make PPC a desirable method of advertising.

If you already have a significant income from solid Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methods, then the use of PPC may simply be a way to show the results of the first search engine in many categories of specific keywords.

Basically what happened is whoever has the deepest pockets they offer beyond the capabilities of most owners of start up business online. This will ensure that the startup has difficulty in developing their business. This has the ripple effect to make it much harder for competitors to enter the world of ecommerce. Some may call this a monopoly, while others may view it as a simple business sense.

This is one of the main reasons I emphasize the use of keyword rich knowledge-based content for your site.

While PPC advertising can help with results now do not promise long-term results, because they are only sending targeted advertising at your expense. Once you can no longer afford PPC can no longer send people your way.

However, these same directories and search engines rank your site and if you back and a well-rounded Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy in place. This strategy is based on both network and a solid understanding of keyword insertion for optimum exposure.

Many people do not look keyword SEO strategies because they believe it limits their creative web design. Eventually, however, entrepreneurs are wondering how much more important than a beautiful site if it has no visitors to enjoy.

In my opinion PPC advertising is not the salvation of online business, but it was a good idea that it degenerated to the monopoly of the highest bidder. This is not a bad scenario if you have a cushion of advertising dollars can be saved, but if you do - think, rethink and rethink content and keyword rich SEO ....
